How to make a story from the mundane routine of life.

Fed up with mundane routine?

Get away for the weekend. Go to a friends home or visit a farm. Having gone away for the weekend, it made one recall that even a change of scene can change your thoughts and affect how you write.

Another thing it made one recall is how this can affect your work and your daily routine. Having come back home the thought came to mind that not only had my view of people changed but so had thoughts about teaching. This all led to thoughts about writing stories.

One idea to help you with writing is make a note of your thoughts and feelings before you go away, then when you return home, write about your thoughts and feelings again. Then compare the two. This could lead to a great story. See if you can make one from this idea. It’s something to think on as you get ready for the long summer holidays.

How to prevent a boring summer.

Hey, the summer holidays will be here soon! Have you realised that you’ve had no time to think about what you and your family will be doing during them? Are you thinking “I’ve no time to plan at the moment”?

Wrong! Now is time to think about what you want to do in the school holidays. Dun dun, dun. Have you thought about starting a writing group in your local area for children? How about taking them on a paper-chase to inspire their writing. It’ll certainly stop them getting bored. But, oh the headache! Get rid of the stress by finding a time to plan.

When is the quietest time in your week or day? Use this time to plan your holidays. It will only take half an hour. Make a weekly schedule that includes an activity that inspires writing creativity and set it for one day a week. This will give everyone something to look forward to. It also gives parents something to motivate their children with. It may even help teachers create ideas to cheer up classes after the holidays.

It is also the time to start planning for what you personally want to happen in the long summer holidays. Try making a schedule for you that gives you a day out each week. If you are a writer maybe you could plan your holiday to include someplace where you can retreat to for writing inspiration. That is especially needed when you have children and need some ‘me time’. Even if it is only a couple of days, it will give you the chance to write your first draft.

If you need help with story planning and writing there are 1-1 lessons available in many subjects such as Arabic, English, self-help, crochet designing and much more.
